Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFOs)
One of the most common orthotic devices we offer at Bionis is the ankle-foot orthosis (AFO). This external device treats a variety of neuromuscular diseases and disorders and provides functionality after an injury or surgery. Our AFOs are designed to address problems related to foot-to-ground placement, which can affect foot clearance and heel contact. They are also prescribed to restore stability to the foot during the swing and stance phases of walking. Additionally, our AFO compensates for thigh muscle weakness to prevent knee buckling.
At Bionis,
our experienced orthotists evaluate your condition and fit you with the appropriate AFO, which may include any of the following:
Static AFO | Dynamic AFO | Foot Drop Splint | Hinged Ankle AFO | Flexible AFO | Tubular AFO | Gauntlet AFO | Fixed AFO | CAM Walker | Pressure Relief AFO | Tibial Fracture Brace | Tibial Torsion Orthosis | Ankle Supports | Prefabricated AFO | Total Carbon Fiber AFO | Solid Ankle AFO | Posterior Leaf Spring AFO | Metal Double Upright AFO | Ground Reaction AFO | Spiral Carbon Fiber AFO | Plantar Fasciitis Splint | Charcot Restraint Walker | Arizona AFO
